How to book

1st step to book accommodation with us?

We do not offer a service where you can “instantly book” online however we are exceptionally quick at getting back to our clients. Providing all is satisfactory with your request to book accommodation then you could have your holiday booked within a matter of minutes. We strongly advise you to wait until we send you a confirmation email of your booking before confirming flights.

 

To book accommodation all we require is a deposit to secure the reservation or depending if it’s a last minute booking you are trying to confirm you may have to pay the full amount immediately. The amount for the deposit varies depending on which property you wish to book and the total cost. You will be notified of the total cost and how much deposit we require on the 1st initial quote that we provide you with.

1. Property Name.
2. Dates you wish to book.
3. Name of party leader.
4. Number of people and ages in your party including children and infants in cots.
5. Phone number and email address.
6. Please state whether you need a cot or highchair or any other extras for your stay.

Booking process

 

We send clients instructions via email to complete your booking on our client portal, first you will have to agree to our terms and conditions, fill out some information regarding the party leader and about your group, subsequently you will be directed onto the client portal where you can pay the initial deposit or full amount by credit/debit card or bank transfer. On the client portal you can see all the details of your booking and break down of costs.

 

The payment terms can vary from property to property as it is the owners discretion and not of Tenerife Villas Online. If we only require an initial deposit to confirm the booking, then the balance is due either 8-12 weeks before the check in date. Some owners do offer their guests to pay the balance on arrival to the owners representative when you check in (this is the owners decision and not a choice made by Tenerife Villas Online). You will be notified before making a booking on how the owner requires the balance to be paid. If paying the balance 8-12 weeks in advance, we normally contact our clients to pay the balance 1 week before the due date to allow you a couple of days to make the payment.

 

When trying to make a booking with a check in date that is within 8 weeks of  booking date, this will be deemed as a last minute booking and you may have to pay the full amount immediately instead of a deposit (depends on the property you wish to book). On a last minute booking some owners may help you out and allow you to pay a deposit and then the balance a few weeks before check in date but this is only available at the discretion of the owner and only for last minute bookings.

 

Deposit / Full amount received

 

Once the deposit/full amount has been received we will send you an immediate confirmation email, you can take this as a receipt of your booking and the client portal will be updated accordingly. The dates you have booked will be blocked on all our calendars including on other websites where the accommodation is advertised. Once you have received our confirmation email you can go ahead and book flights.

 

Check In instructions

 

In order for us to send your check in instructions we need to have your flight details on record. It’s very important once you have booked flights please update the client portal accordingly. We require your arrival flight number and time the flight lands in Tenerife + time of departure flight on the day you check out. Approximately 10 weeks before your check in date if you haven’t already sent us your flight details Tenerife Villas Online will send out a request for this info.

Approx 4 weeks before your stay your check in instructions will be added to the client portal and sent via email. This will include;

  • The address to the accommodation along with directions
  • Arrangements for collecting keys – If you will be meeting the owner’s representative or if you will be given access to a key safe and let yourself in
  • Contact details for the owner’s representative
  • Check in / check out times
  • Any final balances to be paid
  • Any extras to be offered
  • The refundable security bond

 

Some advice for you when booking accommodation with us

 

Tenerife Villas Online have been in operation since 2004, we are established and are regarded by our clients as one of the leading companies in our field. We recommend to book a villa or apartment early to save missing out on the dates you want. Tenerife is a winter sun island so you will find many of our villas and apartments are booked months &  years in advance for 52 weeks of the year and we regularly turn clients away due to a lack of availability.

 

  • Always wait until we send you a confirmation email of your booking before confirming flights.

  • Around 80% of landlords will decline a 1 week booking over the New Year period unless the Xmas has been booked out first. If the New Year period is the week you want, look for a property where the Xmas week has already been booked or alternatively book for 2 weeks over both Xmas & New Year (some landlords may accept a 1 week booking over the New Year period if it’s a last minute booking). New Year week is the busiest week of the year for holiday rentals in Tenerife and it is very easy to sell this period, therefore landlords become demanding when it comes to accepting a booking for this date.

  • Around 80% of landlords will decline hen parties, stag groups, single sexed groups in their teens or 20s (however there are some landlords that will accept your group so please contact us).

  • It can be difficult to find a large villa in the hustle and bustle of the main central tourist areas (we do have some!) generally speaking the better villas are in the more residential areas so we recommend to consider venturing out a little, you will also tend to find the accommodation to be cheaper.
